1999 - The design for the Crewsaver website was sub-contracted by marinedata to design-spinner and the brief was to devise a concept that would reinforce and compliment their three distinct brands, namely Crewsaver (lifejacket products), YAK (kayaking and canoeing equipment) and Marlin (wetsuits). The design of a navigational graphic based on a lifebuoy served not just to link the three distinct websites together, but to reinforce the main brand, that of lifesaving equipment. The client was delighted with the result but Marinedata subsequently took the site off into a database led site route and abandoned the graphic approach.
